On April 12, 2021 Jianlin Li will present via Zoom a presentation on overview of state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery manufacturing, the research activities in energy storage at ORNL and some perspectives on future directions.
Jianlin Li is a senior R&D Staff and University of Tennessee Bredesen Center Adjunct Faculty Member at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). He also leads the Energy Storage and Conversion Manufacturing group at ORNL. His research area includes materials synthesis, processing and characterization, electrode engineering, cell manufacturing and prototyping for energy storage and conversion. Dr. Li received his dual B.S. in Materials Chemistry and Electronic Information Engineering in 2001 and his M.S. in Materials Science in 2004. All were from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). He also received his Ph.D.in Maaterials Sciences and Engineering from the University of Florida in 2009. He is the recipient of several prestigious awards including 2 R&D 100 awards and Federal Laboratory Consortium (FLC)award. He is the inventor of 9 patents and 5 patent applications four of which have been licensed. He has authored more than 100 referred journal articles and 3 books.
